This was an evening of networking and a “Highlights of the Year” review of commitments and actions among North American investors, companies, cities, states, and regions in the CDP family.

The Keynote speaker was Steve Curwood, executive producer and host of NPR’s award-winning weekly environmental news program Living on Earth. Curwood created Living on Earth in the spring of 1990, and the show has run continuously since April 1991. Today, Living on Earth with Steve Curwood is aired on more than 300 stations nationwide. Steve also shared a Pulitzer Prize as part of the Boston Globes education team, so we were in for a treat, and he didn’t disappoint.

Steve’s message was simple. There is a great deal we have done, but so so much more to do if we want to address the impact of climate change.  Accurately recording, reporting, and affirming a public commitment to sustainability is incredibly important and, CDP provides an excellent platform for that.  It is the largest global facilitator of ESG reporting and benchmarking and the go-to mechanism for thousands of organizations.
